Winston Spear
Winston Spear is a unique comedian with a deep deadpan delivery who has been called the King of the Obscure. Although his slightly disturbed sensibility makes him a sure-fire hit, there is a certain charisma that endears Winston Spear to audiences when he performs. He is a regular cast member and staff writer on CTV and The Comedy Network's hit sketch show Comedy Inc. , now in its fifth season.
Winner of the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Stand-up Comic in 2003, Spear has been performing in comedy clubs and festivals throughout North America for more than a decade. In fact, comedy once took him to the United Arab Emirates to perform. He's appeared a number of times at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, the Vancouver International Comedy Festival , and the Halifax Comedy Festival . Winston refers to his ability to incorporate physical comedy into his act as "comedic modern dance." One of his dance pieces has become a top video on YouTube and Google Videos resulting in an appearance in the Barenaked Ladies video "The Sound of Your Voice" which premiered on YouTube.
Winston's experience extends into a variety of television and film projects. He has been featured on Comedy Now! , Comics! , Open Mike with Mike Bullard and, with his sketch troupe Lame & Shooster, on SketchCom . Winston has also written and performed his own video shorts entitled Crack Doll House being featured on sketch series The Bobroom on The Comedy Network. Winston has also been a guest star on CBC's long running Air Farce , The Holmes Show , as Winston the Cellar Dweller on the 6-part series The Sean Cullen Show and on Toronto 1 's The Toronto Show . |

Jim McNally
Although Canadian and American audiences have been howling at Jim McNally for over a decade now, he is becoming more and more recognized lately after stellar performances at the Ha!lifax Comedy Festival and on CTV's "Comedy NOW!". In 2005, he was the first comedian to get a standing ovation at Ottawa's Absolute Comedy and was asked back to headline their first anniversary weekend. The following is his 'bio blurb', which describes him pretty well, but really, you've gotta see him. He is one of the founders of the ROVA Comedy Night and a crowd favorite every year.
Jim is a comedian with an irreverent outlook that blends big city wit with small town cheekiness. His Irish, story-telling roots shine through in his performances which weave observations of the everyday into stories from his own life to highlight the absurdities of the world we live in. Jim's spontaneous and engaging style, quick wit, and knack for seeing the outlandish make him a natural, versatile performer who leaves audiences doubled over with laughter and wanting more. |

Jeff Tanguay
Jeff Tanguay has been making his living on stage since he was a teenager. He started his career as the singer/guitarist for the 80's band 'The Town Cryers'. After a few hit songs and appearances on Muchmusic, his inherently funny stage demeanor led him to try comedy sometime in the early 90's, and audiences have been howling at his casual, laid back approach ever since.
Charming crowds with his infectious smile and rarely straying south of 'clean', Jeff launches into hilarious tales of his marriage and raising his 2 boys. He also talks about the 'distinct' nature of living in Gatineau, driving in the city, and just for fun, does some bizarre things with a children's toy.
As seen on the Comedy Network and in live appearances across Canada, Jeff Tanguay is a really fun guy to watch. |

Rick Currie
Ottawa native Rick Currie has been cracking up Canadian audiences for almost twenty years. His clean, whimsical style has remained popular and has allowed him to perform at the Montreal, Winnipeg and St. John Comedy Festivals, and tour extensively across Canada as well as to Europe and the United States. He has appeared on many different CBC Radio programs including "Madly off In all Directions" and "The Debaters". His half hour special for CTV's "Comedy Now!" is rebroadcast frequently and for some reason, a "Comedy at Club 54" show he recorded in 1997 is still in heavy rotation on The Comedy Network and on XM Satellite Radio. For four years, Rick was a principal writer on CTV's "Open Mike with Mike Bullard". These days, Ottawa audiences hear him 3 times a week on 93.9 BOB FM's "The Morning After with JR and Sandy".
